Over the past few years, sustained advocacy and stakeholder engagements have contributed to the development of key policies aimed at transforming Ghana’s food environment and promoting healthier diets. With these policy frameworks now developed, the next critical step is to advance their translation into regulatory instruments to facilitate effective implementation, compliance and enforcement. This next phase requires sustained policy advocacy to build political commitment, strengthen institutional action and accelerate the development of the necessary regulatory frameworks.
The infographics presented here highlight key advocacy messages and calls for regulatory action across three policy areas:
- Front-of-Pack Labelling
- Food Marketing Restrictions
- Food-Related Fiscal Policies.
They seek to sustain momentum beyond policy development and galvanise government and relevant stakeholders to take the necessary steps towards operationalising these policies and creating healthier food environments in Ghana.
