Ghana Public Health Association (GPHA) is an association of public health practitioners in Ghana established and incorporated in July 1992. It was reincorporated in March 2014 as a non-governmental organization under the Companies Code of 1963 (ACT 179). The vision of the association is a healthy Ghanaian population for maximum productivity. Our mission is improving the health and wellbeing of all people living in Ghana, irrespective of age, gender, ethnicity, political and religious affiliation, through maintenance of high standards of professionalism, advocacy, and networking in collaboration with all stakeholders. The general objective of GPHA is to contribute to the advancement of public health for the promotion of health, prevention of diseases, prompt, and appropriate treatment of the sick, and rehabilitation of the disabled. As one of our specific objectives, we collaborate with individuals, organizations, groups, and agencies with common interest in public health both locally and internationally for the advancement of health of the people.
